Mertz Productions LLC (“Mertz Productions,” “we,” “us”) is a live-event production company based in Orlando, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the internal production tools we operate for our staff and contracted crew, including the kylefyle production app at kylefyle.com.
Two groups. Visitors to this website, who may contact us or subscribe to updates. And the people who work our shows — our employees and the contracted crew hired for a specific event — who are given accounts in our internal production app in order to do that work. We do not offer consumer accounts, and we do not sell anything to the general public through this site.
To respond to enquiries, to plan and run events, to coordinate the crew working those events, to arrange travel and accommodation where applicable, and to meet our accounting and legal obligations. We do not use crew contact information for marketing.
If you are working a show for Mertz Productions, we may send you a text message when you are named directly in a show conversation — an @mention of you, an @all announcement, or a reply to something you wrote — and you are not reachable in the app at that moment. These are operational messages about the show you are working. We never send marketing or promotional text messages.
Text alerts are optional. A mobile number is required to hold a crew account so that the office and your stage manager can reach you, but consent to text alerts is a separate, unchecked checkbox at signup, and your account is created normally whether or not you tick it. You can turn text alerts on or off at any time in the app under Settings → Notifications, or reply STOP to any message to stop them. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as our messaging provider, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers. Numbers are used only to deliver the operational alerts described above, and no third party receives them for any other purpose.
We use a small number of vendors to operate our business and our tools — including cloud hosting and databases, a messaging provider to deliver text alerts, an email delivery provider, and accounting software. These vendors process information only as needed to provide their service to us. They are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
Access to our production tools requires an account and sign-in. Crew accounts see only the shows they are assigned to. We restrict internal access to what each person needs to do their job.
We keep event production records, including crew assignments for past shows, as business records of the events themselves. Contact information is kept while you work with us and for as long as we have a legitimate business or legal reason to retain it.
You can turn text alerts off at any time, as described above. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. Contact us using the details below.
Our services are for people working professionally on our events. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
We may update this policy as our business and tools change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
